The only things that can’t be placed in a skip are: fridge/freezers, tyres, paint cans, TV monitors, asbestos, clinical/medical waste, fluorescent tubes, solvents, liquids, oil, batteries, plasterboard, hazardous/toxic material or gas cylinders. Surcharges will be applied if any of these items have been deposited without prior written permission from DC Skips.
Skips can be placed almost anywhere as long as it is accessible, the ground is stable and we have the land owner’s consent. They cannot be placed over walls as we are unable to lift skips to the required height.
All skips require a permit if they are placed on a road ie. not owned land. Permits last for 14 days. Costs vary depending on the postcode and local council, with some permits chargeable per day and others valid for a longer period of time. We can arrange this for you.
